How a Stripe payment QR code takes a real payment
Stripe already offers a QR code for a Payment Link from its own Dashboard, so it's worth knowing what this generator adds: the same code from anywhere you have the link, plus the one thing Stripe's own tool skips.
Setting up a Stripe checkout QR
-
Create a Payment Link
In the Stripe Dashboard, set up a Payment Link for the product, price or open amount you take. Stripe turns it into a buy.stripe.com/... URL.
-
Paste the link above
Copy the full buy.stripe.com link into the field at the top of this page - it becomes a QR code sized for print.
-
Test before you print
Scan it yourself and check the checkout page shows the right product, price and currency.
