Printed inside a product box, addressed to support with the model number already in the subject.
This email QR code opens a new message with the address already filled in, so the reader only has to tap send. Add a subject and a starting message if you want to save them a few taps too.
Scan it once from the screen before you print a batch. Keep it 2 cm or larger on paper, and leave the white margin around it.
Save this design - colors, corners, logo and frame - and put it on any code later. Saved in this browser.
One value per line, or paste a CSV. With two columns the first is the file name and the second is the value. Every code uses the design you set up above.
Lay the code out on an A4 page with cut marks, ready for the printer or a label sheet.
A mailto QR code works like the Contact us link on a website, carried in a code instead of blue underlined text: scan it, and the phone's own mail app opens a draft, addressed and ready to send.
The recipient is the only required part - leave subject and message blank and scanning it opens a blank draft to that one address. The code only opens the draft, though: nothing sends until the reader reviews it and taps send themselves in their own mail app.
This generator builds three fields: the recipient, subject and body. A carbon copy or blind copy is not something a scan can add - the reader would need to add that themselves once the draft is open.
| Field | In this generator | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| To | Yes | Required - the code does nothing without a recipient. |
| Subject | Yes | Optional; left blank if you do not set one. |
| Body | Yes | Optional; a good place for a short template the reader can edit. |
| Cc / Bcc | No | Add these in the mail app after the draft opens. |
A space, comma or question mark cannot sit inside a mailto link as-is, so this generator converts them to a %20 or %2C style code automatically - you never type the encoded form yourself, and every mail app decodes it straight back to plain words.
A subject typed as Booking enquiry - stored unencoded, which breaks the link at the space.
The same subject stored as Booking%20enquiry, which every mail app reads back as Booking enquiry.
This generator does the encoding for you - shown here only so the link in the code is not a mystery.
Printed inside a product box, addressed to support with the model number already in the subject.
Left on a table or in a welcome pack, with a short prompt already sitting in the message body.
On an event poster, addressed straight to press contacts instead of a general enquiries inbox.

Mail apps change how they present a draft; if a subject or message does not appear as expected, the app's own help pages have its current behaviour.
No. It opens a draft with the address, subject and message already filled in - the reader still reviews it and taps send themselves.
Whichever app the phone treats as its default for mailto: links - often Mail on iPhone or Gmail on Android, depending on the reader's own settings.
Not from this generator - it builds the To, subject and body fields only. Add Cc or Bcc once the draft is open.
Only loosely, as a well-formed address; nothing checks the mailbox actually exists, so a typo builds a working code for the wrong address.
Yes - it is the identical mailto: format used behind a Contact us link, just carried in a code instead of underlined text.
Build a QR landing page: add links, text, images and your logo, then point one editable QR at it.
