Getting a QR code menu right, from link to printed table card

A QR code for restaurant menu use just holds a link, the same as any bookmark - point a camera at it and the menu opens. That makes it quick to set up, and it leaves two real choices worth getting right: how big to print it, and whether to keep it fixed or re-pointable.

How a QR code menu gets from link to table

There is no menu builder to learn: paste the address of the menu page or PDF you already publish, and the generator turns it into a code. Nothing about the menu itself is uploaded or stored - the code only ever carries the link.

Sizing a restaurant menu QR code for the table or the wall

Rule of thumb: print the code at roughly a tenth of its scan distance, 2 cm minimum. A table tent read from arm's length only needs 3 to 4 cm across; a poster read from across the room wants closer to 20 cm - use the calculator to check yours.

Busy artwork or a logo behind the code costs a little contrast, so size up when either applies.

Static or dynamic: does your menu change often?

Most QR code menus start out static, and that is the right call for a menu that only changes with the seasons.
