Event QR code generator
Print one event QR code and every guest gets straight to your event page, schedule or ticket page. Nothing about the date or venue is stored, so updating your event page updates what every scan shows.
type to generate
Scan it once from the screen before you print a batch. Keep it 2 cm or larger on paper, and leave the white margin around it.
Do more with it
Same code, more placesSave this design - colors, corners, logo and frame - and put it on any code later. Saved in this browser.
One value per line, or paste a CSV. With two columns the first is the file name and the second is the value. Every code uses the design you set up above.
Lay the code out on an A4 page with cut marks, ready for the printer or a label sheet.
What an event QR code does - and doesn't - store
This code holds one thing: a link to your event page, schedule or ticket page - nothing about the date or venue is built in. That makes it quick to set up and easy to update, with two things worth knowing before you print it.
How a QR code for an event gets people to the right page
Paste the address of your event page, schedule or ticket page, and the code holds that link - the same as the plain URL type, just branded for an event. Nothing about the date, venue or time is read out of that page or built into the code; whatever the linked page says is what the visitor sees.
That also means the code can be dynamic: print it once, and re-point it later if the event page moves to a new address, or reuse the same poster design for next year's event with a fresh link behind it.
If you want a calendar event QR code, here's the difference
| This event QR code | A calendar VEVENT code | |
|---|---|---|
| What it holds | A single link to your event page. | The event name and start/end times, written directly into the code. |
| Adding it to a calendar | The visitor taps Add to calendar on your page, if you offer it. | The phone offers to add the event the moment it's scanned. |
| Changing the details | Edit the page, or re-point a dynamic code - same printed poster. | Fixed once printed; a date change means a new code. |
Don't use this as your event ticket QR code
-
One code per attendee
A real ticketing system gives each attendee their own code, rather than one image everyone scans from the same poster.
-
Checked against a list
That code is looked up against a list of valid, unused tickets at the door, not just read and waved through.
-
Marked as used
Once it is scanned, the system marks that ticket used, so the same code cannot let a second person in behind the first.

Event QR code questions
No, it opens your event page. If that page has an Add to calendar button, the visitor taps it from there.
Use it for information like a schedule or venue link, not for entry control - a printed link can be copied by anyone who sees it.
It marks a UTC time; the same value without the Z is read as local time by whoever's calendar it lands in.
Yes, with a dynamic code - the same printed poster keeps working after the link changes.
It keeps opening the same link, so keep the page useful afterwards or take the code out of circulation.
