Bitcoin QR code generator
Paste a wallet address and this Bitcoin QR code generator gives you a code any crypto wallet can scan. It is free, needs no account, and encodes only the address you paste in - never an amount.
type to generate
Scan it once from the screen before you print a batch. Keep it 2 cm or larger on paper, and leave the white margin around it.
Do more with it
Same code, more placesSave this design - colors, corners, logo and frame - and put it on any code later. Saved in this browser.
One value per line, or paste a CSV. With two columns the first is the file name and the second is the value. Every code uses the design you set up above.
Lay the code out on an A4 page with cut marks, ready for the printer or a label sheet.
Get paid in Bitcoin from a scan
Paste your address in and this code hands it to any wallet's camera - no retyping, no digits misheard off a sticky note. It is a Bitcoin payment QR that carries the address only, so whatever a payer owes you, they type the amount in themselves.
What actually gets scanned
The code is one line of text: bitcoin: followed by your address. No server, no lookup - a wallet reads it straight off the screen and opens a send page ready to go. That also means it never expires: print it once and it keeps working for as long as the address itself does.
- bitcoin: tells the wallet this is an address to pay, not text to display.
- Address your receiving address, pasted exactly as given - example address, not valid on purpose.
Any address format works here
| Starts with | Type | Why people use it |
|---|---|---|
| 1... | Legacy | Works everywhere; usually the priciest to spend from. |
| 3... | P2SH | Common for multisig wallets. |
| bc1q... | Native SegWit | Lower fees; most wallets default to this now. |
| bc1p... | Taproot | The newest format, widely supported today. |
Want a fixed amount on the code too?
This generator sets the address only, on purpose - the same code then works for a till where the total changes and for a tip jar alike. The bitcoin: link can also carry a fixed amount, a label and a short note - if you need one of those, add the amount inside your own wallet after scanning, or use a tool built for fixed invoices.

BTC address QR code questions
No - only the address. BIP 21, the format behind this link, supports an amount, but this tool leaves it blank so one code works for any amount.
Whatever your wallet gives you on its receive screen - legacy, P2SH, bech32 and taproot addresses all work the same way here.
No, only the public address - safe to hand out, unlike a private key or seed phrase.
The payment goes to whoever controls that address, with no way to reverse it. Check the address in the wallet after scanning, not just before you print.
No - it's a static address, not a link to a server, so a code you printed last year still works today.
